Service Description

Comprehensive speech, literacy and language assessment to identify your child's individual needs. Natalie will evaluate your child's speech sound development, reading and spelling profile, and their oral language abilities, including understanding (receptive) and speaking (expressive) skills and provide recommendations for personalised therapy plans. Formal and informal assessments may be used depending on what your child is most comfortable with, and an in-depth report is provided, outlining any diagnoses in relation to your child's communication skills, as well as recommendations which may be useful for other health-care providers and educators working with your child. Natalie will use her extensive experience to make observations of vocabulary, grammar, narrative, literacy, social communication, phonological awareness, word recognition and decoding, and speech production skills, as well as additional areas that may require referrals to other providers. This option usually consists of 2 x 60-minute assessment sessions with your child (over 2 different days to avoid fatigue) and a 2 x 60-minute report writing block.
